Help Clearing Cookies

Did you know some sites leave cookies on your computer? Do you know what a cookie is?
A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is used for an origin website to send state information to a user’s browser and for the browser to return the state information to the origin site.[1] The state information can be used for authentication, identification of a user session, user’s preferences,shopping cart contents, or anything else that can be accomplished through storing text data on the user’s computer.

To protect your privacy and to speed up your computer, I recommend cleaning out those cookies regularly. I try clean mine out a couple of times a week.

Here are some easy step by step instructions to clean out those cookies. Listed below are a variety of browsers. Choose yours and start cleaning now!

Google Chrome Users
Click the wrench in the upper right hand corner.
Next choose tools
Then choose clear browsing data
This is the box that you should see next:

**As you can see, I have unchecked the boxes for saved passwords and saved Autofill form data.**
Next click the Clear browsing data.
That’s it you’re done.

Firefox Users:
In the top menu bar:
Select Tools
Clear Recent History (CTRL+Shift+Delete)
**Make sure ALL options are checked**
Now Select Clear Now

Using Internet Explorer (IE)
Select the sprocket in the top right corner
Go to the part that says
Browsing History now select Delete
**Again, make sure you UNCHECK the following**
Form Data
Passwords
Click OK. That’s it!
