Jolly Time Pop Corn is an excellent alternative to the typical “bagged candy” Halloween treats. As a kid, I remember there was a lady that lived down the road that made homemade goodies for the holidays. As a kid you just new how good it tasted and as a parent you could appreciate the time and effort that she made into making the holiday more special. I’m not saying all prepackaged food is bad, but there is nothing like a good ole’ homemade popcorn ball!
Jolly Time has included recipe ideas on their website so that you too can make these delectable treats. First let me tell you what I found really amazing. I made the popcorn on the stove and poured it into a bowl. There was only 1 single kernel that did not pop! That has to be rare. Right? Next, I am following the simple steps to make some of my own using the recipe for Ghoulishly Fun Popcorn Balls. I did make a few adjustments. I added red icing, sour gummy worms and Wilton’s candy melts. The kids liked the different flavors. The sour gummy worms seemed to offset the sweetness of the candy coated popcorn. This is just one of the many recipes you will find at Jolly Time.
Now if you find yourself not having the time to make some of the treats found at Jolly Time, there are a variety of solutions. You will find recipe cards that could be printed out and attached to a jar of popcorn with a cute Halloween themed ribbon. How about a treat bucket filled with a bag of Jolly Time popcorn and a bag of marshmallows? Be sure to include the recipe card.
They do have boxes containing 4 mini bags that could also be passed out individually. There are lots of ideas on the Jolly Time site that will get your creative juices flowing.
I also found some other interesting items while visiting the site that I wanted to share. FREE STUFF! That’s right, you can pick up some great freebies after purchasing the Jolly Time pop corn.
