Let’s Talk About The New Year!

So when you hear New Years ,What is the first thing you think of? A new resolution? I do.Then I wonder why. I don’t  think I  have kept a New Years Resolution for more then 2 weeks.. Shame on me! I think I make it too  hard or try to make too  many promises to myself and I know I expected immediate results.

Changes for the better  ,It’s a good thing! It can just be a very rocky road  on the way there, and for most it’s easier to turn around and just go back. I Know I have been there more than once.

After many fails I realized a few key points.First a strong desire to do so with realistic goals ,a plan of attack ,consistency and patience are the keys to any resolution you make yourself . It is also very helpful to have a support system in order. Someone to share in your goals with you or  be there to recognize your efforts and give you that pat on the back to keep you motivated!

So in talking about goals. Do you know what the Number one resolution is? I myself was sure it was lose weight. Well it is on the list . The Number one resolution is:

1.Spending more time with family and friends.

It’s followed by this list:

2.Exercise more

3.Lose Weight

4.Quit Smoking

5.Less Stress

6.Stop Drinking

7.Get out of debt

8.Learn something new

9.Help Others

10.Get Organized
